Install Pure-FTPd

  Build FTP server to transfer files. Install and configure Pure-FTPd for it.

[1] Install Pure-FTPd

aptitude -y install pure-ftpd


# run as a daemon

echo "yes" > /etc/pure-ftpd/conf/Daemonize


# prohibit Anonymous

root@www05:~#
echo "yes" > /etc/pure-ftpd/conf/NoAnonymous


# enable chroot

root@www05:~#
echo "yes" > /etc/pure-ftpd/conf/ChrootEveryone


# only IPV4

root@www05:~#
echo "yes" > /etc/pure-ftpd/conf/IPV4Only


root@www05:~#
/etc/init.d/pure-ftpd restart

Restarting ftp server: Running: /usr/sbin/pure-ftpd -l pam -E -8 UTF-8 -B -u 1000 -A -O clf:/var/log/pure-ftpd/transfer.log -B
