Proxmox VE 9

Initial Settings : Set up the Repository2026/04/03

To set up a custom repository, do the following.

By default, Proxmox VE is configured with an enterprise repository after installation.
However, the enterprise repository cannot be accessed without a valid subscription, preventing system updates and other maintenance.
If you want to use Proxmox VE in a development environment or similar setting without a subscription and with self-support, you will need to change the repository.

[1] Log in to the Proxmox VE management console, select your hostname in the left pane, and click [Repositories] from the menu on the left side of the right pane.
[2] A list of repositories will appear in the right pane.
Select the bottom repository, [enterprise.proxmox.com/debian/pve], and click the [Disable] button.
Similarly, disable the top repository, [enterprise.proxmox.com/debian/ceph-squid].
[3] Click the [Add] button near the center of the screen.
[4] Select [No-subscription] for [Repository] and click the [Add] button.
After adding, perform the same operation to select [Ceph Squid No-subscription] for [Repository] and add it.
[5] If added successfully, the repository [download.proxmox.com/debian/***] will appear in the list.
[6] Once a valid repository is configured, you will be able to update the system.
