By accessing the shell, you can control the Proxmox VE host using commands. |

| [1] | Log in to the Proxmox VE management console, select your hostname in the left pane, and click [Shell] from the menu on the left of the right pane. |

| [2] | The shell screen will appear in the right pane. If the user account logged into the console is [root], you can use the shell directly. However, if you are logged in as another user, you will need to log in to the shell as the PAM-registered user. |

| [3] | You can execute any command from the shell. Since Proxmox VE 9 is built on Debian 13 trixie, command-line operations can be performed in the same way as in Debian. |
