Install Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 ( released on May 13 2025, supported untill May 2035 ). Before installation, you need to get Installation DVD or ISO image from RedHat. |

[1] | Insert the installation DVD or USB memory into your computer and start it, then RHEL installer starts. Press Enter to proceed. |

[2] | Select the language you'd like to use during the installation. The selected language on here also will be set the default System language If you never change [Language Support] setting in next step. |

[3] | This is the default Installation Summary section for some basic configurations. On this example, Configure Keyboard Map on [LOCALIZATION] category, Click [Keyboard] icon. |

[5] | Select your using keyboard type on the list and click the [Add] button. |

[6] | After adding keyboard layout, send up your keyboard on the top for 1st priority like follows and Click the [Done] button which is upper left to finish. |

[7] | Return to the default Installation Summary section like [3], Next, set your timezone, Click the [Time & Date] icon. Select your time zone on the screen below, and click the [Done] button in the upper left. |

[8] | Return to the default Installation Summary section like [3], Next, Click the [Software Selection] icon to install RHEL. Choose the Software Selection on the list you'd like to install. On this example, it Chooses [Server] selection. |

[9] | Return to the default Installation Summary section like [3], Next, Click the [Installation Destination] icon to select a disk you install RHEL. If your computer has only one HDD, there will only be one option as shown below, but if it has multiple HDDs, you can select the destination HDD by clicking on the icon with the mouse. If you want to manually set the partition layout, select [Custom] in [Storage Configuration] or if automatic is OK, leave it as [Automatic]. For automatic configuration, the layout will be [/boot], [/], [/home], [swap]. (If the disk capacity is small, [/home] will not be divided.) If everything is OK, click the [Done] button in the upper left to proceed. |

[10] | Return to the default Installation Summary section like [3], Next, Click the [Network & Host Name] icon. If you already have a Hostname for this new RHEL Server, Input the Hostname on the [Host Name] field. |

[11] | Return to the default Installation Summary section like [3], Next, Click the [Root Account] icon under the [USER SETTINGS] category. If you want to enable the root user account, check [Enable root account] and enter the root password you want to set. If you want to disable the root user account, check [Disable root account]. |

[12] | Return to the default Installation Summary section like [3], Next, Click the [User Creation] icon under the [USER SETTINGS] category. Create a general user account. If you disabled the root user account on previous section, check [Add administrative privileges ***] to grant administrator privileges to the general user account you create. |

[13] | Confirm Selections and If that's OK all, Click the [Begin Installation] button to install RHEL. |

[14] | After finishing Installation, Click the [Reboot System] button on the lower right to restart computer. |

[15] | After the installation is complete and you reboot, the login screen will be displayed as shown below Log in by authenticating as the root user or the general user you created. This completes the RHEL installation. |
