Configure LDAP Server2017/12/25

 
Configure LDAP Server in order to share users' accounts in your local networks.
[1] Install OpenLDAP.
[root@dlp ~]#
dnf -y install openldap-servers openldap-clients
[root@dlp ~]#
cp /usr/share/openldap-servers/DB_CONFIG.example /var/lib/ldap/DB_CONFIG

[root@dlp ~]#
chown ldap. /var/lib/ldap/DB_CONFIG

[root@dlp ~]#
systemctl start slapd

[root@dlp ~]#
systemctl enable slapd

[2] If SELinux is enabled, change policy settings to start Slapd.
[root@dlp ~]#
dnf -y install checkpolicy policycoreutils-python-utils
[root@dlp ~]#
vi slapd.te
# create new

module slapd 1.0;

require {
        type slapd_t;
        type slapd_db_t;
        class file map;
}

#============= slapd_t ==============
allow slapd_t slapd_db_t:file map;

[root@dlp ~]#
checkmodule -m -M -o slapd.mod slapd.te

[root@dlp ~]#
semodule_package --outfile slapd.pp --module slapd.mod

semodule -i slapd.pp

[3] Set OpenLDAP admin password.
# generate encrypted password

[root@dlp ~]#
slappasswd

vi chrootpw.ldif
# specify the password generated above for "olcRootPW" section

[3] Import basic Schemas.

[4] Set your domain name on LDAP DB.
# generate directory manager's password

[6] Configure Slapd for SSL/TLS.

cp /etc/pki/tls/certs/server.key \

/etc/pki/tls/certs/ca-bundle.crt \
/etc/openldap/certs/

[root@dlp ~]#
chown ldap. /etc/openldap/certs/server.key \
/etc/openldap/certs/server.crt \
/etc/openldap/certs/ca-bundle.crt
[root@dlp ~]#
vi mod_ssl.ldif
# create new

[7] If Firewalld is running, allow LDAP service.

firewall-cmd --add-service={ldap,ldaps} --permanent
