OpenSSH : Use SSH-Agent2021/08/17

 
Use SSH-Agent to automate inputting passphrase on key-pair authentication.
Using SSH-Agent is valid for users who set SSH Key Pair with Passphrase.

# start SSH-Agent

eval $(ssh-agent)

# add Identity

ssh-add

Enter passphrase for /home/debian/.ssh/id_rsa:
Identity added: /home/debian/.ssh/id_rsa (debian@dlp.srv.world)
# confirmation

debian@node01:~$
ssh-add -l

3072 SHA256:H+lFm+3c93VekrLiFCYAwoWDUVs43s4JEze8wr8QzG8 debian@dlp.srv.world (RSA)
# try to connect with SSH without passphrase

debian@node01:~$
ssh dlp.srv.world hostname

dlp.srv.world
# stop SSH-Agent

# if not execute it, SSH-Agent process remains even if you logout System, be careful

eval $(ssh-agent -k)
