OpenStack Train : Configure Ceilometer#1 (Control Node)2019/10/29

 
Install OpenStack Telemetry Service (Ceilometer).
This example is based on the emvironment like follows.

[2] Add users and others for Ceilometer in Keystone.
# add ceilometer user (set in service project)

openstack role add --project service --user ceilometer admin
# add service entry for ceilometer

[root@dlp ~(keystone)]#

[3] Install Ceilometer services.
# install from Train, EPEL

[root@dlp ~(keystone)]#
yum --enablerepo=centos-openstack-train,epel -y install openstack-ceilometer-central openstack-ceilometer-notification python-ceilometerclient
[4] Configure Ceilometer.
[root@dlp ~(keystone)]#
mv /etc/ceilometer/ceilometer.conf /etc/ceilometer/ceilometer.conf.org

[root@dlp ~(keystone)]#
vi /etc/ceilometer/ceilometer.conf
# create new

[DEFAULT]

su -s /bin/bash ceilometer -c "ceilometer-upgrade --skip-metering-database"

[root@dlp ~(keystone)]#
systemctl start openstack-ceilometer-central openstack-ceilometer-notification

[root@dlp ~(keystone)]#
systemctl enable openstack-ceilometer-central openstack-ceilometer-notification
